Following the outstanding performance of setting new records in the third quarter, Volvo Group took advantage of the momentum and grandly exhibited its innovative products and newly launched "Volvo+" overall solutions with the goal of promoting sustainable growth in the Chinese market. From November 27 to 30, Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE), Volvo Penta, Volvo Financial Services (VFS) and Shandong Lingong (SDLG) will join forces at the 2018 Shanghai Bauma Exhibition to showcase their industry-leading products, technologies and service solutions, and emphasize supporting China's rapid infrastructure development in a sustainable way. With the theme of "Building a Better Future", Volvo Construction Equipment will show hundreds of thousands of visitors at the C.70 booth at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) how to keep pace with the rapidly changing world through the development of equipment, services and dealer networks.
In addition to continued growth in global sales, Volvo Construction Equipment's market share in the Greater China region has also increased due to the total volume of the Chinese market in the third quarter of 2018 being 42% higher than the same period last year. Volvo Penta has an average annual growth rate of 34% in the off-road field worldwide. In the past two years, its sales in China have doubled, and it has gained a solid foundation in the Chinese market like Volvo Construction Equipment.
While global political uncertainty, climate change and technological change continue to impact the global economy, Volvo Construction Equipment is well prepared to adapt to the changing market environment and strongly support many of the world's most anticipated large-scale construction projects, including China's "Belt and Road" initiative.
It all starts with innovation
After attending a press conference with Volvo Penta President Björn Ingemanson, Volvo Construction Equipment President Melker Jernberg said: "The Volvo Group has always been a leader in innovation. We are proud to be involved in China's extraordinary infrastructure construction and play an innovative leading role in it. Thanks to the advancement of digital technology and close collaboration within the Volvo Group, we can provide customers with the best products and services to help them achieve excellent production benefits."

Star exhibits
A total of 300,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor exhibition space at the bauma show, Volvo Construction Equipment showcased 11 pieces of equipment designed for customer success, including trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, pavers, rollers - and the "Volvo+" overall solution officially launched in the Chinese market.
The heavy-duty EC950EL has the highest tonnage of all Volvo excavators, and can complete various construction operations at a faster speed. Volvo EC18D and ECR25 small excavators have excellent long-lasting performance, the L220H large wheel loader uses fuel-saving technology that is world-renowned, and the high-efficiency Volvo EC220EL excavator and Volvo P7820DL paver both meet China's Stage IV emission standards for non-road mobile machinery. The newly launched EC75D small excavator is designed specifically for the Chinese market, with excellent stability and a wide operating range. Volvo's largest rigid dump truck, the R100E, is suitable for a variety of mining and quarrying applications, making Volvo Construction Equipment's product line at this exhibition more complete.
Embrace the clean sky
Volvo Penta exhibited its new engine series, which can also meet the "National IV" emission standards that will take effect in January 2020. If the standard is implemented as scheduled, Volvo Penta's engine platform that meets "National IV" will cover a 5-13 liter engine series with a power range of 105 to 405 kW (143-551 hp). Each solution is equipped with a high-performance engine and a perfectly matched aftertreatment system (EATS).
Volvo Penta also demonstrated electrification solutions provided by the latest technology based on the Volvo Group's proven technology platform.

Committed to customer support
In addition, Volvo Construction Equipment also introduced the newly launched "Volvo +" overall solution to Chinese customers. This upgrade solution can provide continuous customer support covering the product life cycle to help customers maximize uptime. The solution package integrates 34 services provided by Volvo dealers and can be tailored to specific needs. The solution abandons the "one-size-fits-all" approach and integrates nine categories of equipment support, including fuel efficiency, productivity, accessories and attachments, to create an organic whole solution.
Volvo Financial Services (VFS)'s customized financial solutions are also included to provide customers with fast and convenient financial tools. On this basis, VFS demonstrated its intelligent services based on the WeChat platform, which allows customers to manage their accounts independently, communicate with company representatives online, and pay with one button.
Volvo Construction Equipment has also launched a new "Volvo +" customer experience center in China to help customers better understand Volvo Construction Equipment's full range of products and personalized services.
All this shows that Volvo Group will give customers long-term confidence and promote sustainable development in China's infrastructure construction with equipment and services designed to improve productivity and reduce operating costs.
